New members are very welcome

We are a very friendly crowd and are always pleased to welcome anyone who may be interested in joining us, we always have a break around halfway through where you can gradually get to know everyone. Our choice of subjects is fairly varied, over the past few months we have had speakers on Cardinal Wolsley, Mohammed - the Rise of Islam, Burma and Women's Progress over the last 100 years and a week or so ago a good number of us took a coach to Arundel Castle where we all had a very enjoyable day out. During the next few months we have talks lined up covering the S.O.E. Special Operations, Middle Ages England v. France, Nelson's Navy and The Romanoffs 1613-1917, and we will during the next month or so be taking a decision on where to go for our Christmas lunch. Our speakers all come from volunteers in the group itself, all of whom prepare excellent talks. The talks can be for a whole session or just a short talk for half an hour or so, nothing too demanding. Why not give us a try! I am always pleased to hear from anyone who may be interested, please contact me through the Convenor Link above
