In May we visited the Victoria & Albert Museum to view the International Arts and Crafts Exhibition, which contained some beautiful objects that demonstrated the international breath of a movement that began in England (with Ruskin and Morris) and was powered as much by morals as aesthetics. Its influence extended as far as Japan. This was the first major exhibition to explore this subject from a truly international perspective. |
New Members are always welcome
We are still looking for a U3A member who would like to take over the organisation of trips to Art Galleries and Museums on the second Friday of the month.
NOTE: We have added a useful contacts section at the bottom of the page. This will be added to from time to time. The internet links are live, so a single click should take you to the site.
